Randy Newman has recently composed the original music for Noah Baumbach’s, currently untitled, upcoming Netflix original movie. The film is written and directed by Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale, Greenberg, Frances Ha) and stars Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Laura Dern, Merritt Wever, Azhy Robertson, Alan Alda and Kyle Bornheimer. No plot details have been announced yet. Baumbach is also producing the project with David Heyman (Gravity, Harry Potter series). Newman (Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Avalon, The Natural) has previously scored Baumbach’s last feature The Meyerowitz Stories. The movie will premiere at one of the major film festivals this fall and will be released in select theaters and on Netflix this fall.
Newman’s other recent projects include Pixar’s Toy Story 4, which is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
