Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Boy Erased, Ozark, The Gift, Enemy) have been tapped to score the upcoming YouTube Premium series On Becoming a God in Central Florida. The show is created by Robert Funke & Matt Lutsky and and stars Kirsten Dunst, Theodore Pellerin, Ted Levine, Mel Rodriguez, Beth Ditto and Julie Benz. The comedy is set near Orlando in the early 1990s and tells the story of a minimum-wage-earning water park employee who will eventually scheme her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise. Funke, Lutsky & Dunst are also executive producing the project with showrunner Esta Spalding, George Clooney & Grant Heslov (Argo, The Ides of March), as well Charlie McDowell who is directing multiple episodes. McDowell has previously collaborated with the composers on the features The One I Love and The Discovery. On Becoming a God in Central Florida is set to premiere later this year on YouTube Premium.

Bensi & Jurriaans also have the AMC original series NOS4A2 and the fifth season of Fear the Walking Dead (both premiering on June 2, 2019), as well as the third season of Netflix’s Ozark coming up. Their other recent projects include Season 2 of American Gods, which currently airs every Sunday night on Starz (a soundtrack album will be announced soon) and Veronika Franz’s  & Severin Fiala’s The Lodge, which will be released in theaters later this year following a premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
