Also premiering on Friday is the Netflix original series Mindhunter created by Jon Penhall and starring Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Anna Torv and Hannah Gross. The series executive produced by David Fincher (who also directed multiple episodes) is set in the late 1970s and follows two FBI agents who expand criminal science by delving into the psychology of murder and getting uneasily close to all-too-real monsters. Also premiering on Friday is the Amazon original series Lore created by Aaron Mahnke based on his podcast of the same name and starring Robert Patrick, Holland Roden, Colm Feore, Kristin Bauer, Cathal Pendred, Campbell Scott, Adam Goldberg and John Byner. The horror anthology series explores the real-life origins of horror-genre staples such as vampires, zombies, werewolves, ghosts, serial killers, and witches.
