Premiering tonight is the Nat Geo event series Saints & Strangers directed by Paul A. Edwards and starring Raoul Trujillo, Vincent Kartheiser, Ray Stevenson, Anna Camp, Ron Livingston, Natascha McElhone, Kalani Queypo, Tatanka Means, Brian F. O’Byrne, Barry Sloane and Michael Jibson. The 2-parter’s main theme is composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Carribbean, Inception) and the series’ music is written by Lorne Balfe (Terminator Genisys, 13 Hours: The Soldiers of Benghazi). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack EP featuring the composers’ music. Check out our previous news article for the full details. A CD version is set for release in December.

‘The Lion Guard’ Soundtrack Announced
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the Disney Television Animation series The Lion Guard. The album features the opening song written and performed by Beau Black, as well as the songs performed by the series’ voice cast. Chris Willis is composing the show’s original score. The soundtrack will be released on January 8, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Lion Guard developed by Ford Riley continues the story of Disney’s animated classic The Lion King and features the voices of Rob Lowe, Gabrielle Union, James Earl Jones, Max Charles, Atticus Shaffer and Sarah Hyland. The show will centers on the second-born cub of Simba and Nala as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a group of the bravest and brightest tasked with preserving the Pride Lands.
Christopher Willis to Score Disney’s ‘The Lion Guard’
Christopher Willis has been tapped to score Disney Television Animation’s upcoming movie and series The Lion Guard. The projects are developed by Ford Riley (Special Agent Oso) and will continue the story introduced 20 years ago in the studio’s animated classic The Lion King. The movie and show will center on the second-born cub of Simba and Nala as he assumes the role of leader of the Lion Guard, a group of the bravest and brightest tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. Riley also serves as an executive producer and Howy Parkins (Jake and the Never Land Pirates) is the director. Willis has previously scored Disney’s Mickey Mouse Shorts, for which he received his first Annie Award earlier this year.
