Screen Daily is reporting that Faithless member Sister Bliss is in talks to score the upcoming comedy How to Sell a War. The film marks the narrative feature directorial debut of author and documentary filmmaker Rudolph Herzog (son of Werner Herzog) and is set to star Katherine Parkinson and Lily Newmark. The movie follows a PR consultant, and her naive new intern, working for a global charity concert, trying to keep the event on track despite interference from a Russian warmonger. Tim Price wrote the screenplay based on an idea by Raid Sabbah. Samantha Taylor and Mike Downey (The Border Post, Deathwatch) are producing the project.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (January 25, 2012)
Three new movies are opening wide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the fantasy action adventure Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters directed by Tommy Wirkola and starring Jeremy Renner, Gemma Arterton, Famke Janssen and Peter Stormare. The film’s music is composed by Atli Orvarsson (Vantage Point, The Eagle, The Fourth Kind). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music is now available digitally and will be released next month on La-La Land Records. Also opening wide this weekend is the action thriller Parker directed by Taylor Hackford and starring Jason Statham, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Nolte and Michael Chicklis. The film’s score is composed by David Buckley (The Town, The Forbidden Kingdom). A soundtrack album featuring Buckley’s music is now available digitally and will be released next week on Varese Sarabande. Sister Bliss Scoring ‘Knife Fight’
Sister Bliss has recently scored the upcoming indie drama Knife Fight. The movie is written and directed by Bill Guttentag who has won two Academy Awards for two of his short documentaries, most recently the 9/11-centric Twin Towers in 2003. The film stars Rob Lowe as a maverick political strategist who is struggling to keep his wayward clients, including a philandering Kentucky governor and a California senator being blackmailed – in office and out of the scandal sheets. Julie Bowen, Eric McCormack, Jennifer Morrison, Jaime Chung, Saffron Burrows and Carrie-Anne Moss are co-starring. Guttentag co-wrote the script with political consultant Bill Lehane, best known as a White Hous advisor to Bill Clinton. Guerrino De Luca, Catherine Davila and Daniel Davila (Harrison Montgomery are the producers of the project. Sister Bliss is best known for her work with Rollo Armstrong as part of the electronica band Faithless. Knife Fight marks her first major solo film scoring assignment. The movie is set to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival next month. No word yet on a release date of the film.
