Categorical Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama Rule Breakers. The album features the film’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Pollock, Monk, Carnivale, The Biggest Little Farm, Appaloosa, Rome, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, Blackfish). Also included is the original song We Believe in Hope co-written by Beal and performed by Aryana Sayeed and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, March 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. We Believe in Hope is already out now as a digital single and can be checked out after the jump. Rule Breakers is co-written and directed by Bill Guttentag and stars Ali Fazal, Nikohl Boosheri, Amber Afzali, Nada El Belkasmi, Nina Hosseinzadeh, Sara Malal Rowe and Noorin Gulamgaus. The movie is based on the true story of the first all-female robotics team from Afghanistan who earnss worldwide recognition, inspiring hope even as danger rises.

Sister Bliss Scoring ‘Knife Fight’
Sister Bliss has recently scored the upcoming indie drama Knife Fight. The movie is written and directed by Bill Guttentag who has won two Academy Awards for two of his short documentaries, most recently the 9/11-centric Twin Towers in 2003. The film stars Rob Lowe as a maverick political strategist who is struggling to keep his wayward clients, including a philandering Kentucky governor and a California senator being blackmailed – in office and out of the scandal sheets. Julie Bowen, Eric McCormack, Jennifer Morrison, Jaime Chung, Saffron Burrows and Carrie-Anne Moss are co-starring. Guttentag co-wrote the script with political consultant Bill Lehane, best known as a White Hous advisor to Bill Clinton. Guerrino De Luca, Catherine Davila and Daniel Davila (Harrison Montgomery are the producers of the project. Sister Bliss is best known for her work with Rollo Armstrong as part of the electronica band Faithless. Knife Fight marks her first major solo film scoring assignment. The movie is set to debut at the Tribeca Film Festival next month. No word yet on a release date of the film.
