The details of the soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s drama Stonewall have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob Simonsen (The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer, The Age of Adaline, The Way, Way Back). Also included are songs by The Staples Singers, M.C. 2, The Fabulous Originals, Procol Harum and The Silver Stars. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 27, 2015 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Stonewall stars Jeremy Irvine, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Joey King, Ron Perlman and Jonny Beauchamp. The movie centers on a fictional young man caught up during the 1969 Stonewall riots.

Harald Kloser & Thomas Wander to Score ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’
Harald Kloser and Thomas Wander have been hired to score the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Independence Day: Resurgence. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich and stars Vivica A. Fox, Jeff Goldblum, Liam Hemsworth, Bill Pullman, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Judd Hirsch, Sela Ward, William Fichtner and Charlotte Gainsbourg. The sequel revolves around the nations of Earth who have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet, which comes under attack by the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Kloser is also producing the project with Emmerich and Dean Devlin (Stargate, Godzilla, The Patriot).
Rob Simonsen Scoring Roland Emmerich’s ‘Stonewall’
Rob Simonsen has composed the music for the upcoming drama Stonewall. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate, 2012, The Patriot) and stars Jeremy Irvine, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ron Perlman, Jonny Beauchamp, Joey King, Caleb Landry Jones, Karl Glusman, Vlademir Alexis, and Alexandre Nachi. The movie follows a young man in New York caught up during the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a pivotal event widely considered the starting point for the modern gay civil rights movement. Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sister, The Slap) has written the screenplay. Emmerich is also producing the Centropolis Entertainment production with Michael Fossat, Marc Frydman (The Contender, Flyboys, Straw Dogs) and Carsten Lorenz.
‘White House Down’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s action thriller White House Down. The album features the film’s original score composed by Thomas Wander and Harald Kloser (2012, 10’000 B.C., The Day After Tomorrow). Also included is the song Chevy Knights (Mickey & Mallory) performed by He Met Her. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28, 2013. White House Down starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Joey King and Rachelle Lefevre follows a Secret Service agent who is tasked with rescuing the president from a paramilitary group that has taken over the White House. The film will be released nationwide this Friday, June 28.
Varese Sarabande to Release Soundtracks for ‘Elysium’ and ‘White House Down’
According to the film’s latest poster, Varese Sarabande will release the soundtrack album for the upcoming sci-fi action drama Elysium. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ryan Amon who makes his feature scoring debut on the project and has previously written the music for numerous trailers through his motion picture advertising company, City of the Fallen. Elysium is written and directed by Neil Blomkamp (District 9) and stars Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Wagner Moura, Alice Braga, William Fichtner, Diego Luna and Carly Pope. The film is set on a space station occupied by the very wealthy while the rest of humanity lives on a ravaged, overpopulated Earth. The movie will be released nationwide on August 9 by Sony Pictures.

Thomas Wander and Harald Kloser are currently composing the score for the upcoming action thriller White House Down. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate) and stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, Richard Jenkins, Joey King and Rachelle Lefevre. The movie follows a Secret Service agent who is tasked with rescuing the president from a paramilitary group that has taken over the White House. James Vanderbilt (The Amazing Spider-Man, Zodiac) has written the screenplay. Madison Gate Records has released the official soundtrack album for Roland Emmerich’s period thriller Anonymous. The album features the original score by composers Harald Kloser and Thomas Wander. The album is available as an on demand CD-R on Amazon, as well as digitally on iTunes. Anonymous stars Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave, Jamie Campbell Bower and David Thewlis and revolves around the widespread theory that William Shakespeare was not the real author of his plays. The movie will be released in theaters this Friday, October 28.
Harald Kloser to Co-Write and Co-Produce Roland Emmerich’s ‘Singularity’
Deadline reports that composer/screenwriter/producer Harald Kloser co-wrote the screenplay for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming science fiction movie Singularity, which he is also co-producing. No word yet on if he will be writing the score for the film as well, but given his previous work with the director, it is assumed that he will also be involved in the music for the project. No information about the movie’s plot has been revealed yet. Kloser previously co-wrote the scripts for Emmerich’s 10’000 BC and 2012 and co-scored both movies with composer Thomas Wander. Sony Pictures has set a May 17, 2013 release date for Singularity.

The political thriller centers around who actually wrote the plays of William Shakespeare set against the backdrop of the succession of Queen Elizabeth I, and the Essex Rebellion against her. The movie currently in post-production stars Rhys Ifans, Joely Richardson, Vanessa Redgrave, Jamie Campbell Bower and David Thewlis.
