Sunrise Music Label will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original anime series Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Wilbert Roget, II (Mortal Kombat 1 & 11, Star Wars: Outlaws, Call of Duty: WWII, Helldivers II, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Pacific Drive). Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is written by Gavin Hignight and stars Celia Massingham, Lavance, James Watt, Andrew Woolner, Daniel Wishes and Maxwell Powers. The Sunrise production directed by Erasmus Brosdau is set during the One Year War, a conflict first depicted in the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, and follows top Zaku II pilot Captain Solari as he faces the Earth Federation’s new lethal weapon: the mobile suit Gundam.

Volker Bertelmann to Score Markus Goller’s Untitled Netflix Film Inspired by the German NGO Jugend Rettet
Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Patrick Melrose, The Old Guard, Adrift, One Life, Ammonite) has been hired to score an upcoming German Netflix original film inspired by the true story of the German NGO Jugend Rettet and its ship, the Iuventa. The movie is directed by Markus Goller (My Brother Simple) and stars Louis Hofmann, Mala Emde, Katharina Stark, Frederick Lau, Trevor Magaya, Maria Dragus, Kathy Etoa, Saibon Wang, Felice, Joone Dankou, Luisa-Céline Gaffron, Merlin von Garnier and Omid Memar. The movie chronicles the journey of a group of young Berliners who – unable to stand by and watch as countless refugees lose their lives attempting to reach Europe by sea – launch a crowdfunding campaign to buy an old ship and embark on a mission to save thousands of people.
Lake Street Dive’s ‘Somebody Feed Phil’ Theme Song Released
Netflix Music has released the theme song from the Netflix original travel documentary series Somebody Feed Phil. The track written and performed by Lake Street Dive who received an Emmy Award nomination in the Original Main Title Theme Music category in 2018. The song is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon, and can also be checked out after the jump. Somebody Feed Phil is presented by Philip Rosenthal and follows the globe-trotting gourmand as he samples and savors culinary delights from Dubai, Kyoto, Edinburgh and other places.

Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Top Gun: Maverick, Bad Boys for Life, His Dark Materials) has composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original film Carry-On. The movie is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, Non-Stop) and stars Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Logan Marshall-Green, Sinqua Walls, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener and Dean Norris. The thriller follows an airport security agent fights to outsmart a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into letting a dangerous package slip onto a Christmas Eve flight.

Premiering in the U.S. on Thursday, October 17, is the British sci-fi series Midwich Cuckoos: Village of the Damned developed by David Farr based on John Wyndham’s classic novel of the same title and starring Keeley Hawes, Max Beesley, Synnøve Karlsen, Samuel West, Cherrelle Skeete, Lara Rossi, Aisling Loftus, Ukweli Roach, Rebekah Staton, Lewis Reeves and Anneika Rose. The show’s original music is composed by Hannah Peel (Rogue Agent, Scoop, Game of Thrones: The Last Watch, Insomnia, The Deceived). Invada Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score when the sci-fi drama premiered in the UK on Sky in 2022. The album features the film’s original score composed by Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, A Teacher, Love Again, Sorry for Your Loss, The Hero, Divorce). Also included are three new songs performed by lead actor Michael Cimino.
