Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Actor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Richard Reed Parry (of Arcade Fire) (The Iron Claw, Eileen, The Nest). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Actor is co-written and directed by Duke Johnson and stars André Holland, Gemma Chan, Tracey Ullman, Toby Jones, Simon McBurney and Joe Cole. The movie based on the novel Memory by Donald E. Westlake follows a man who gets stranded in a mysterious small town with no memory of who he is or how he got here and – without a sense of identity or purpose – starts from scratch and begins courting a local costume designer.

Richard Reed Parry (of Arcade Fire) (The Iron Claw, Eileen, The Nest) has recently been scoring the upcoming drama The Actor. The film is directed by Duke Johnson (Anamolisa) and stars André Holland, Gemma Chan, Tracey Ullman, Simon McBurney, Toby Jones and Joe Cole. The movie is based on the bestselling novel Memory by Donald E. Westlake and tells the story of an actor who finds himself stranded in 1950s Ohio, suffering from severe memory loss after a brutal attack and struggling to find his way back to his life in New York.
‘Anomalisa’ Soundtrack Announced
The details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature Anomalisa have been announced. The album features the film’s original score composed by Carter Burwell (Fargo, Carol, Twilight, Adaptation, No Country for Old Men, The Blind Side), as well as the original songs None of them Are You (lyrics by Charlie Kaufman) and Goddess of Heaven.
