The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s fantasy adventure Alice Through the Looking Glass have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Men in Black) who previously Tim Burton’s 2010 original film Alice in Wonderland. Also included is the original song Just Like Fire performed by Pink (listen to the track after the jump). The soundtrack will be released on May 27, 2016 by Walt Disney Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Alice Through the Looking Glass is directed by James Bobin and stars Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Anne Hathaway, Rhys Ifan, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall.

‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ to Feature Original Song by Pink
A new TV spot for Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass that premiered during the Grammy Awards telecast revealed that Pink will record an original song for the sequel. The pop singer also contributed a cover version of the Jefferson Airplane classic White Rabbit, which can be previewed in the video embedded after the jump. The title of the original song will be revealed at a later date. Alice Through the Looking Glass is directed by James Bobin and stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Rhys Ifan, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall.
Danny Elfman to Return for ‘Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass’
Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed today that Danny Elfman will be returning to score the upcoming fantasy adventure sequel Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. The film is directed by James Bobin (The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted) and stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Rhys Ifans, Matt Lucas, Ed Speleer and Sacha Baron Cohen. The movie’s voice cast includes Stephen Fry, Toby Jones, Alan Rickman, Michael Sheen, Timothy Spall, Paul Whitehouse and Barbara Windsor. The sequel revisits Lewis Carroll’s stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland – and back in Time. Linda Woolverton (Maleficent, The Lion King) has written the screenplay.
Danny Elfman to Attend ‘Alice in Wonderland’ World Premiere Live to Projection Concert
The 21st Century Symphony Orchestra has announced that Danny Elfman will be attending a series of concerts this March at the KKL Luzern Concert Hall in Lucerne, Switzerland. On March 21, 2014, the concert Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton will make its premiere in Switzerland. The event, which features the composer’s music for the director’s films such as Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow and Big Fish world premiered last year at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will also be performed in other cities this spring and summer, including Prague, Mexico City, Seattle and San Diego. On March 22 & 23, the KKL will host the world premiere performance of Elfman‘s original score for Burton’s Alice in Wonderland performed live to projection.

FirstShowing.net recently posted a new interview with composer Danny Elfman. In the interview, Elfman talks about his score for Alice in Wonderland, working with Tim Burton, his two upcoming projects The Green Hornet and Restless and his creative approach and process to scoring movies. New audio interview with Danny Elfman
Film Music Magazine’s On the Score show just uploaded a new interview with composer Danny Elfman. In the 37 minutes interview, Danny Elfman talks about his score for Alice in Wonderland and his collaboration with Tim Burton, including such movies as Planet of the Apes, Edward Scissorhands and Mars Attacks. Most interestingly, Elfman also talks about his fallout wih Tim Burton that led him to leave Ed Wood in 1995. To listen to the complete interview, check out this link.
Elfman to score Gus Van Sant’s Restless
In a recent interview with Collider, Elfman confirmed that he will score Gus Van Sant’s upcoming drama Restless (previously untitled). The movie revolves around a teenage boy and girl who share a preoccupation with mortality. The movie is produced by Ron Howard and Bryce Dallas Howard. Restless stars Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland). Restless marks Elfman’s fifth collaboration with Van Sant after To Die For, Good Will Hunting, Psycho and Milk. A release date for the movie produced by Imagine Entertainment has yet to be announced.
Elfman will score the movie before he starts working on Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet. The comic book adaptation starring Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz and Tom Wilkinson. The movie is scheduled to be released this December by Sony Pictures.

Elfman Oscar profile on Good Morning America
This morning, Danny Elfman was featured in ABC’s Good Morning America Oscar profile series, where he talked about what awards mean to him. Additionally, the profile showed Elfman working in his studio, as well as scoring session footage from Alice in Wonderland with Tim Burton.
