Waxwork Records will release the official soundtrack album for the psychological horror thriller Never Let Go. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) (Maniac, Gretel & Hansel, Revenge, Horns, Other People’s Children, Amityville: The AwakeningTroy: Fall of a City). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 25. A vinyl edition is also expected. Never Let Go is directed by Alexandre Aja and stars Halle Berry, Percy Daggs IV and Anthony B. Jenkins. The movie follows a mother and her twin sons who have to fight for their survival when an Evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep and they are forced to stay connected at all times. Lady Gaga has announced Harlequin, a companion album to Todd Phillips’ psychological thriller Joker: Folie à Deux. The album features thirteen songs performed by the singer/songwriter who stars in the film as Harley Quinn. Harlequin will be released digitally this Friday, September 27 by Interscope Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label will also release the official soundtrack album featuring songs by Gaga next Friday, October 4. A separate album featuring Hildur Guðnadóttir’s original score from the movie is being released this Friday by WaterTower Music. Timothy Williams (PearlBrightburnAgent ElvisWalking with the EnemyFinding YouWild Horses) has recently recorded his score for the upcoming biblical thriller Mary. The film is directed by D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) and stars Anthony Hopkins as King Herod and Noa Cohen in the title role of Mary, as well as Ido Tako, Mila Harris and Stephanie Nur. The movie tells the coming-of-age story of the title character who is shunned following the otherworldly conception of her child and forced into hiding as King Herod’s relentless drive to maintain power at any cost ignites the pursuit of the newborn child that he believes is a threat to his reign on the throne. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1994 British drama The Browning Version directed by Mike Figgis, produced by Ridley Scott and starring Albert Finney, Greta Scacchi, Matthew Modine, Michael Gambon, Julian Sands, Ben Silverstone, Oliver Milburn and Jim Sturgess. The album features the expanded and newly remastered original score from the film composed by Academy Award nominee Mark Isham (A River Runs Through It, Crash, Once Upon a Time, Miracle, 42, The Black Dahlia, Nell), including previously unreleased music. The CD, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 30th anniversary, is limited to 1,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more about the release. Quartet Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the animated feature Buffalo Kids. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Fernando Velázquez (The Impossible, A Monster Calls, The Orphanage, MamaHercules, Crimson Peak, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Devil). A CD version of the soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Buffalo Kids is directed by Juan Jesús Galocha & Pedro Solís and features the voices of Alisha Weir, Stephen Graham, Gemma Arterton and Sean Bean (in its English language version).
