Peter Gregson Scoring Netflix’s ‘Waco: American Apocalypse’

Composer and cellist Peter Gregson (A Little Chaos, Blackbird, Adolescence) has made his television scoring debut on new Netflix documentary series Waco: American Apocalypse. The show is directed by Tiller Russell (Night Stalker, The Last Narc, Silk Road) and centers on the infamous 51-standoff in Waco, Texas in 1993 when cult leader David Koresh faced off against the federal government. The 3-parter, which is being released to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the tragedy, features exclusive access to recently unearthed videotapes filmed inside the FBI’s Hostage Negotiation Command Post, as well as raw news footage never released to the American public, and FBI wiretap recordings. Cinéma Defacto & Miyu Productions have released a soundtrack album for the animated feature Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman (Saules aveugles, femme endormie). The album features the film’s original music composed by Pierre Földes (12 and Holding, From Other Worlds) who has also made his directorial debut on the movie. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and most other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman written and directed by Földes is based on stories by Japanese author Haruki Murakami and follows a giant talking frog and an elusive cat who help a listless bank employee, a lonely accountant and his traumatized wife seek meaning in their lives and possibly save Tokyo from catastrophe. The details of the second soundtrack album for the British historical drama series The Last Kingdom have been revealed. The Last Kingdom: Destiny Is All features eleven new tracks, including all-new recordings and reimagined arrangements, written by series composers John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen, The White Princess), Eivør and Danny Saul. The soundtrack will be released digitally (click here to stream/download) and physically on April 22 (Record Store Day) by A&G Songs LTD.
