Ludwig Göransson was honored with his second Critics Choice Award in the Best Score category for his music for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners at tonight’s 31st Critics Choice Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. He previously received the award for his music from Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer in 2024. Premiering tonight before moving to its regular Tuesday night slot on January 6 is the Fox comedy drama Best Medicine developed by Liz Tuccillo based on ITV’s Doc Martin and starring Josh Charles, Annie Potts, Abigail Spencer, Cree and Josh Segarra. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Cardoni (Silicon Valley, The Kominsky Method, Ransom Canyon, Heels, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates,White House Plumbers, CSI: Miami, Ghosts, The Franchise, Just Friends). Premiering on Thursday, January 8, is the British Paramount+ original series Girl Taken developed by David Turpin, Suzanne Cowie & Nessah Muthy based on the novel Baby Doll by Hollie Overton and starring Alfie Allen, Jill Halfpenny, Tallulah Evans and Delphi Evans.
