Sony Music Entertainment India has released a new soundtrack album for the Indian fantasy adventure Barroz: Guardian of Treasures. The album features the film’s original “background” score composed by Mark Kilian (Tsotsi, Eye in the Sky, Pitch PerfectTraitor, The Ward, RenditionOfficial Secrets). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Conjuring da Gama) below. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack EP featuring the songs from the movie by Lydian Nadhaswaram, Fernando Boto de Jesus Guerreiro & Miguel Jorge Guerreiro. Barroz is directed by Mohanlal and stars Mohanlal himelf, Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Ignacio Mateos, Nerea Camacho and Tuhin Menon. Natalie Holt (LokiObi-Wan Kenobi, The PrincessJourney’s End, Knightfall, Beecham House, HerselfPress) has been tapped to score the upcoming Hulu original series Chad Powers. The show is created by Glen Powell & Michael Waldron (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Heels) and stars Powell himself, Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Wynn Everett and Steve Zahn. The comedy is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films & Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series and follows a hotshot quarterback who – after his college career derails – disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the gothic horror movie Nosferatu written and directed by Robert Eggers and starring Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe. The film’s original music is composed by Robin Carolan (The Nortman). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score has been released last month by Back Lot Music (digital version) and Sacred Bones Records (physical versions). Also opening nationwide is the biographical drama A Complete Unknown directed by James Mangold and starring Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton, Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning, Boyd Holbrook, Norbert Leo Butz, Dan Fogler and Scoot McNairy. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. Nick Baxter serves as the project’s executive music producer. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the Bob Dylan songs from the movie performed by Chalamet and other tracks performed by the movie’s cast last Friday. Samuel Dixon has released a soundtrack album for the Binge original movie How to Make Gravy. The album features the original score composed and produced by the songwriter/music producer who is best known for his work with Adele, Sia, Christina Aguilera & Kylie Minogue and has made his feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. How to Make Gravy is co-written and directed by Nick Waterman and stars Daniel Henshall, Agathe Rousselle, Brenton Thwaites, Damon Herriman and Hugo Weaving. The drama is based on Paul Kelly’s iconic song of the same title follows a father separated from his family at Christmas who learns the power of redemption as they prepare to celebrate their first Christmas without him. Smith (The Revenant, Twisters), directed by Berg and stars Taylor Kitsch, Betty Gilpin, Dane DeHaan, Shea Whigham, Jai Courtney, Saura Lightfoot Leon, Preston Mota and Joe Tippett. The 6-part western drama tells the story of a mother and son fleeing from their past who form a found family while confronting a harsh landscape of freedom and cruelty in the American West. The show is developed by David Harrower based on the book The Lockerbie Bombing: A Father’s Search for Justice by Jim Swire & Peter Biddulph and stars Colin Firth, Catherine McCormack, Rosanna Adams, Jemma Carlton, Sam Troughton, Harry Redding, Mark Bonner, Ardalan Esmaili and Selwa Jghalef. Grammy Award-winning composer/arranger/music producer and multi-instrumentalist Gabe Witcher (best known as a former member of the acoustic band Punch Brothers) is scoring the new Fox comedy Going Dutch. The show is created by Joel Church-Cooper (Brockmire) and stars Denis Leary, Taylor Misiak, Danny Pudi, Laci Mosely, Hal Cumpston, Catherine Tate, Joe Morton and Dempsey Bryk. The series revolves around an arrogant U.S. Army Colonel who – after an epically unfiltered rant – is reassigned to the Netherlands, where he is punished with a command position at the least important army base in the world and tries to reinstate discipline with the help of the base’s previous interim leader who just happens to be his estranged daughter.
