Sony Music Entertainment India has released a new soundtrack album for the Indian fantasy adventure Barroz: Guardian of Treasures. The album features the film’s original “background” score composed by Mark Kilian (Tsotsi, Eye in the Sky, Pitch Perfect, Traitor, The Ward, Rendition, Official Secrets). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track (Conjuring da Gama) below. The label has previously released a separate soundtrack EP featuring the songs from the movie by Lydian Nadhaswaram, Fernando Boto de Jesus Guerreiro & Miguel Jorge Guerreiro. Barroz is directed by Mohanlal and stars Mohanlal himelf, Maya Rao West, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Ignacio Mateos, Nerea Camacho and Tuhin Menon. Rodriguez, Wynn Everett and Steve Zahn. The comedy is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films & Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli’s Places series and follows a hotshot quarterback who – after his college career derails – disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the gothic horror movie Nosferatu written and directed by Robert Eggers and starring Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney and Willem Dafoe. The film’s original music is composed by Robin Carolan (The Nortman). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score has been released last month by Back Lot Music (digital version) and Sacred Bones Records (physical versions). Also opening nationwide is the biographical drama A Complete Unknown directed by James Mangold and starring Timothée Chalamet, Edward Norton, Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning, Boyd Holbrook, Norbert Leo Butz, Dan Fogler and Scoot McNairy. The movie doesn’t feature an original score. Nick Baxter serves as the project’s executive music producer. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the Bob Dylan songs from the movie performed by Chalamet and other tracks performed by the movie’s cast last Friday.
