The Ivors Academy has announced the nominees for The Ivors Composer Awards, sponsored by PRS for Music in association with BBC Radio 3, which celebrate excellence in composition across genres and disciplines, from film, television and video games to concert halls, community engagement and live performance. The Academy’s categories for Best Original Film Score and Best Original Television Score, historically recognized at The Ivors in spring – have been moved to a new awards ceremony, The Ivors Composer Awards in November. A brand-new category celebrating Best Original Documentary Score has been added for the first time this year. The Ivors Composer Awards will held on November 17 in London, hosted by radio presenter Petroc Trelawny, with BBC Radio 3 as broadcast partner. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1991 animated feature An American Tail: Fievel Goes West directed by Phil Nibbelink & Simon Wells and starring Phillip Glasser, James Stewart, Erica Yohn, Cathy Cavadini, Dom DeLuise, Nehemiah Persoff, Amy Irving, John Cleese and Jon Lovitz. The album features the newly remastered and expanded original score from the Amblin Entertainment production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13, Field of Dreams, Aliens, Legends of the Fall), including previously unreleased music. Also included are all original songs from the film written by Horner & Will Jennings, including the Golden Globe-nominated Dreams to Dream. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. MCA Records has released the original 1991 soundtrack album. Milan Records will release two soundtrack albums for the second season of the Netflix anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The original soundtrack album features eight songs from the show, including tracks by Rico Nasty, Petite Melle, Piernikowski, Biji, Corbin, Doudou & others.
