Dan Romer (LucaBeasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Station Eleven, Superman & Lois, Maniac) has composed the original score for the new holiday comedy Genie. The film is directed by Sam Boyd (In a Relationship) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Paapa Essiedu, Marc Maron, Denée Benton, Jordyn McIntosh, Luis Guzmán and Alan Cumming. The movie tells the story of a genie who has been trapped for more than 2,000 years inside an antique jewelry box because of a misunderstanding with a sorcerer back in 77 B.C. and is accidentally called to service by a workaholic who has lost sight of his marriage and the childhood of his daughter. Milan Records will release the official soundtrack album for Eli Roth’s slasher movie Thanksgiving. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brandon Roberts (Chaos Walking, Motherland: Fort Salem, UnderwaterFear Street Part 2: 1978, The Twilight Zone, On a Wing and a Prayer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 17. Check back on this page for the streaming/download link. Thanksgiving is directed by Roth and stars Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Gina Gershon, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque and Rick Hoffman.The movie centers on a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer who terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts, the birthplace of the holiday. Julia Newman has released a soundtrack album for the dramatic thriller At the Gates. The album features the film’s original score written by the composer (and daughter of Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman) who has made her feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack is now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. At the Gates is written and directed by Augustus Meleo Bernstein and stars Miranda Otto, Noah Wyle, Ezekiel Pacheco, Vanessa Benavente and Sadie Stanley. The movie revolves around a Salvadoran housekeeper and her teenage son who begin to question whether they’re being protected or imprisoned after an affluent couple offers to hide them from immigration officers in their basement. Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX limited series A Murder at the End of the World. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominees Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (Ozark, The Outsider, Enemy, The StaircaseThe Gift, Fear the Walking Dead, Boy Erased) . The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, November 17 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. A Murder at the End of the World is created and directed by Brit Marling & Zal Batmanglij and stars Emma Corrin, Clive Owen, Harris Dickinson, Alice Braga, Marling herself, Raúl Espanza, Jermaine Fowler, Joan Chen, Pegah Ferydoni, Javed Khan, Ryan J. Haddad, Louis Cancelmi and Edoardo Ballerini. Walt Disney Records has released the fifth original song from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature Wish. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services is Knowing What I Know Now written by Julia Michaels & Benjamin Rice and performed by Ariana DeBose & Angelique Cabral and other members of the film’s voice cast. Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Crown. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s sixth and final season composed by Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, Napoleon, The Honourable Woman, War & Peace, Victoria, The AftermathPeaky Blinders) who has previously scored the last three seasons. Roger Mason is scoring the new CBS drama NCIS: Sydney. The show is created by Morgan O’Neill (Drift, The Factory) and stars Olivia Swann, Todd Lasance, Tuuli Narkle, Sean Sagar, Mavournee Hazel and William McInnes. The fifth series (and first-ever international edition) of the NCIS franchise follows a team of U.S. NCIS agents and the Australian Federal Police (AFP) who are grafted into a multinational taskforce to keep naval crimes in check in the most contested patch of ocean on the planet. Composer Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane, God of War) is reuniting with director Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2, Truth or Dare) on the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Imaginary. The film stars DeWanda Wise as a woman who moves back into her childhood home with her family and becomes concerned when her youngest stepdaughter  develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear she finds in the basement.
