Premiering tomorrow, December 1, is the Norwegian Netflix original film Troll 2 directed by Roar Uthaug and starring Ine Marie Wilmann, Sara Khorami, Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen, Karoline Viktoria Sletteng Garvang and Mads Sjøgård Pettersen. The movie’s original music is composed by Johannes Ringen (The Quake, Captain Fall,  The Arctic Convoy,The Burning Sea, Cave, La Palma, Asphalt Burning). Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the sequel.

Premiering on Wednesday, December 3, is the Prime Video original movie Oh. What. Fun. written and directed by Michael Showalter and starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Felicity Jones, Chloë Grace Moretz, Joan Chen, Dominic Sessa, Denis Leary, Eva Longoria, Danielle Brooks, Havana Rose Liu, Maude Apatow, Devery Jacobs and Jason Schwartzman. Siddhartha Khosla (Only Murders in the Building, Paradise, This Is Us, The Idea of You, Looking for Alaska, Welcome to Chippendales, Rabbit Hole) has composed the film’s original score. Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists including Gwen Stefani, Sharon Van Etten, The Bird and the Bee, St. Vincent, Jeff Tweedy, Empress Of & others  on December 3. ‘The Island on Bird Street’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Caldera Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack album for the 1997 Danish period drama The Island on Bird Street (Øen i Fuglegaden) directed by Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, based on the novel of the same title by Uri Orlev and starring Patrick Bergin, Jordan Kiziukh, James Bolam, Jack Warden, Michael Byrne, Heather Tobias and Suzanna Hamilton. The album features the film’s original music composed by Zbigniew Preisner (When a Man Loves a Woman, The Secret Garden, Three Colors, The Queen of Spain, Between Strangers, Dekalog), presented as a 6-part “symphony” of extended suites. ‘The Mean One’ Soundtrack Album Released

Yael Benamour (Screamboat) has released a soundtrack album for the slasher parody The Mean One. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The Mean One is directed by Steven LaMorte and stars David Howard Thornton, Krystle Martin, Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Flip Kobler, Erik Baker and Amy Schumacher. Sky Music will release a soundtrack album for the Sky Nature original documentary series Moon: Nature’s Secret Force. The album features selections of the show’s original music written by composer and vocalist Sophy Purnell. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 30 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the opening titles track below. Moon: Nature’s Secret Force is narrated by Tilda Swinton, produced by Humble Bee Films and examines the effect of the Moon on life on Earth. Republic Records Kids & Family has released a soundtrack album for the CBS/Paramount+ animated holiday special A PAW Patrol Christmas. The album features the original songs (including Can You Believe It’s Finally Christmas? and the title track, both previously released as digital singles) and the classic holiday songs from the Spin Master Entertainment production performed by the project’s voice cast. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to several tracks below. Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the animated feature Zootopia 2 directed by Jared Bush & Byron Howard and starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Quinta Brunson, Fortune Feimster, Shakira, Ke Huy Quan, Macaulay Culkin, Patrick Warburton and Nate Torrence. The film’s original score is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, Lost, The Batman, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Jurassic World, Inside Out, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Incredibles, Star Trek). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Zoo performed by Shakira last Friday. Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Eternity co-written and directed by David Freyne and starring Miles Teller, Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner, John Early, Olga Merediz and Da’Vine Joy Randolph. David Fleming (Superman, The Last of Us, The Alto Knights, Damsel, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Unforgivable, Jim Henson: Idea Man, Americana) has composed the film’s original music. Karam Salem (Young King, Woody Woodpecker, L.A. Rebellion: A Cinematic Movement, Chuggington) has released a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller Stone Creek Killer. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. ‘The War Between the Land and the Sea’ Soundtrack Album Details

The details of the soundtrack album for BBC’s Doctor Who spin-off series The War Between the Land and the Sea have been announced. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout & Dead Reckoning, Top Gun: Maverick, Black Adam, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, The Wheel of Time). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, December 5 by Silva Screen Records (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). An additional track, Alison Goldfrapp’s & Balfe’s cover of David Bowie’s Heroes, will be released the following Friday, December 12. A physical version will be coming out next year (visit Amazon to pre-order the CD edition). As previously reported, a first track (Barlcay’s Theme) is already available to stream/download now. ‘The Beatles Anthology’ Soundtrack Albums Released

Universal Music has released three soundtrack albums for Apple Corps’ remastered and expanded landmark, UK-produced original documentary series The Beatles Anthology. The albums featuring the Beatles songs from Episodes 1-3, Episodes 4-6 and Episodes 7-9 of the show are now available to stream on all major digital music services. Check out the track lists for each album below. The Beatles Anthology follows John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison & Ringo Starr as they revisit the highs and lows and twists and turns of The Beatles’ long and winding eight years as a band. The series was originally broadcast in 1995 in the U.S. on ABC and in the UK on ITV and has been restored and expanded from eight to nine episodes, including a footage restoration and sound mix overseen by the Apple Corps production team. Nina Becker’s & Marcelo Callado’s ‘Blues’ from Apple TV’s ‘Pluribus’ Released

Milan Records has released a new version of the song Blues by Brazilian artists Nina Becker & Marcelo Callado from the fifth episode (Got Milk) of the Apple TV original series Pluribus. The Pluribus Edit (produced by Becker & Callado and originally written for their collaboration album Gambito Budapeste) is now available to stream/download on all major digital music and can also be checked out after the jump. The label has previously released several songs from the show’s first four episodes as digital singles, as well as the first score album over the last couple of weeks.
