Lakeshore Records and Invada Records will release the first soundtrack album for the German Netflix original series Dark. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Ben Frost (Super Dark Times, Sleeping Beauty, Fortitude, The Deep). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28 and will be available to download here. CD and vinyl versions are also in the works and a second album featuring the composer’s score from Season will be released next month. Dark is created by Baran bo Odar & Jantje Friese and tells the story of a missing child who sets four families on a frantic hunt for answers as they unearth a mind-bending mystery that spans three generations. Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Avengers: Age of Ultron) is set to score the upcoming thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead. The film is written and directed by Taylor Sheridan (Wind River, screenwriter of Sicario & Hell or High Water) and stars Angelina Jolie, Nicholas Hoult, Tyler Perry, Jon Bernthal, Finn Little, Jake Weber, Aidan Gillen and Medina Senghore. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Michael Koryta and revolves around a teenage boy who, after witnessing a brutal murder, is given a new identity and placed in a wilderness skills program for troubled teens as he is being pursued by said killers. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Chasing the Moon. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Gary Lionelli (O.J.: Made in America, Last Days in Vietnam, Luck). The soundtrack will be released digitally on July 12, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Chasing the Moon is directed by Robert Stone and reimagines the race to the moon for a new generation, upending much of the conventional mythology surrounding the effort. Mark Isham is composing the original score for the upcoming Disney+ original movie Togo. The film is directed by Ericson Core (Point Break) and stars Willem Dafoe, Thorbjorn Harr and Michael Gaston. The adventure drama is set in 1925 during what the Nome Serum Run, when dog sleds transported diphtheria serum over nearly 700 miles to save Nome, Alaska, from an epidemic, and centers on the unlikely friendship between sled dog Togo and his driver. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the Fox mystery drama The X-Files. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s eleventh and final season composed by Emmy Award nominee Mark Snow (Smallville, Millennium, Blue Bloods, Disturbing Behavior). The 2-CD set is limited to 3,000 copies and will be available to order later today on the label’s official website. La-La Land Records has previously several soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from the first nine seasons, as well as Season 10.
