Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Force. The album features the film’s original music composed by Justin Melland (The Kill Team, Dark Net, Extremis). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 3, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Force is directed by Peter Nicks and follows the Oakland Police Department over the course of two years as a new chief tries to make his officers more accountable and more aware of racial inequities in the criminal justice system. The documentary premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, where Nicks received the Directing Award, and was released in theaters this past September by Kino Lorber. The full details of the soundtrack album for the comic book movie Justice League have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (BatmanSpider-ManAlice in WonderlandMen in BlackCharlie and the Chocolate Factory). Also included are songs by Sigrid, The White Stripes and a cover of The Beatles’ Come Together by Gary Clark Jr. & Junkie XL. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 10, 2017 and as a 2-CD set on December 8 by WaterTower Music. The full details of the first song compilation soundtrack for the Netflix original series Stranger Things have been revealed. The album features a collections of songs from the show’s first two season by The Police, The Clash, Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, Devo, Echo & The Bunnymen, Scorpions, New Order, Peter Gabriel, Cyndi Lauper, Olivia Newton-John  & more. Also included are dialogue snippets from the hit drama. Ronen Landa (The PactCavemenAt the Devil’s Door) will be releasing three new soundtracks, including an album featuring his original music for the horror thriller Eloise directed by Robert Legato and starring Chace Crawford, Eliza Dushku, Robert Patrick, Nicole Forester and Brandon T. Jackson. The soundtrack for the movie, which opened in select theaters and on VOD earlier this year, will be released digitally this Friday, October 27 and will be available to download on Amazon. Mary J. Blige has recorded the original song Mighty River for the period drama Mudbound. The singer/songwriter who also stars in the movie co-wrote the track with Raphael Saadiq (Underground, Insecure) and Taura Stinson. The action comedy is directed by Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics) and stars Adam Devine, Anders Holm, Blake Anderson and Jere Burns. The film follows three friends who are on the verge of getting their video game financed when their benefactor is taken hostage by terrorists. Holm (Workaholics) also wrote the screenplay. Steven Argila is reteaming with Paul Reiser on the upcoming period comedy There’s… Johnny!. The show is created by Reiser & David Steven Simon (Mad About You) and stars Tony Danza, Ian Nelson, Jane Levy, Roger Bart, T’Keyah Crystal Keymáh, Nate Smith, David Hoffman, Daniel Strauss and Andrew Schulz. The series follows a wide-eyed 19-year-old Nebraskan who stumbles into a job on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1970s and a young Talent Coordinator on the show. The film is directed by Rodrigo Cortes and stars AnnaSophia Robb, Isabelle Fuhrman, Noah Silver, Rosie Day and Uma Thurman. The movie is based on the 1974 novel by Lois Duncan and follows a boarding school student who confronts the darkly seductive powers of the headmistress and comes face to face with the supernatural abilities that could make her all-powerful or destroy her.
