Young Turks Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the Netflix documentary Becoming. The album features the film’s original music composed by jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Becoming is is directed by Nadia Hallgren and offers a look into the life of former First Lady Michelle Obama during a moment of profound change, not only for her personally but for the country she and her husband served over eight impactful years in the White House. The film’s original score is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury RoadDeadpoolBatman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeAlita: Battle Angel). Atlantic Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Thomas Rhett & Kane Brown feat. Ava Max, Jack Harlow, Pink Sweat$, R3HAB, among others. Already available on VOD since this past Tuesday is the drama Capone written and directed by Josh Trank and starring Tom Hardy, Linda Cardellini, Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan, Noel Fisher, Jack Lowden and Kathrine Narducci. Quartet Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1983 comedy Mr. Mom directed by Stan Dragoti, written by John Hughes and starring Michael Keaton, Teri Garr, Jeffrey Tambor, Ann Jillian, Christopher Lloyd and Martin Mull. The album features the original score from the movie composed and conducted by Lee Holdridge (Splash, The Mists of Avalon, The Beastmaster, Old Gringo, Oliver’s Story). The CD, which is limited to 1,000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and for more details about the release. The track is written by Sarah Aarons & Greg Kurstin, produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins & Tony Hemmings and performed by lead actress Tracee Ellis Ross. Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) has confirmed at a Reddit AMA today that he is reuniting with director Zack Snyder on the upcoming Netflix original film Army of the Dead. The film starring Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Theo Rossi, Chris D’Elia, Huma Qureshi, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada and Matthias Schweighöfer takes place following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, when a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. The remix, which is based on Time (Orchestra Version) from the The World of Hans Zimmer album, is now available to stream/download in two different versions as a digital single on Amazon. The full details of the new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander have been revealed. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fifth season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the MonstersThe Walking Dead10 Cloverfield Lane, Child’s Play, Battlestar GalacticaHappy Death Day). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon.
