Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the sci-fi/action adventure Jurassic World Rebirth directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, Philippine Velge, David Iacono, Ed Skrein and Bechir Sylvain. The film’s original music is composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The King’s Speech, Godzilla, The Queen). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Wednesday. Opening in around 300 theaters this week is the Canadian post-apocalyptic thriller 40 Acres co-written and directed by R.T. Thorne and starring Danielle Deadwyler, Michael Greyeyes, Kataem O’Connor, Leenah Robinson, Elizabeth Saunders, Milcania Diaz-Rojas, Jaeda LeBlanc, Haile Amare and Tyrone Benskin. Todor Kobakov (Born to Be Blue, Backstabbing for Beginners, The Samaritan, Most Dangerous Game, Tricksters, Sweetness in the Belly) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced.
