Schole Records has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese drama True Mothers (Asa ga Kuru). The album features the film’s original music composed by Akira Kosemura (Love Is___, Meet Me After School). True Mothers is co-written and directed by Naomi Kawase and stars Hiromi Nagasaku, Arata Iura, Aju Makita and Miyoko Asada. The movie revolves around a Tokyo couple undergoing treatment for aspermia who come across a TV program advertising a non-profit association intended to match couples who cannot procreate with mothers who are unable to raise their natural children. Laura Karpman to Score Marvel’s Disney+ Series ‘What If…?’

Variety is reporting that Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Step, Set It Up, Why We Hate, Underground) has been tapped to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ animated series What If…?. The show is created by A.C. Bradley based on the Marvel Comics series of the same title and features the voices of Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher, as well as Michael B. Jordan, Sebastian Stan, Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Hayley Atwell, Karen Gillan, , Natalie Portman Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Neal McDonough, Dominic Cooper, Sean Gunn, Taika Waititi, Toby Jones, Djimon Hounsou, Jeff Goldblum and Michael Rooker who all reprise their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Adam Mason (Into the Dark, The Devil’s Chair) and stars KJ Apa, Sofia Carson, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser, Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Alexandra Daddario, Jenna Ortega and Peter Stormare. The movie is set a few years in the future, where a pandemic rages on, continuing to mutate and wreak havoc around the world and follows a delivery driver who must overcome martial law, murderous vigilantes and a powerful, well connected family to reunite with his partner.
