The film is directed by Mona Fastvold and stars Amanda Seyfried, Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Tim Blake Nelson, Christopher Abbott, Stacy Martin, Viola Prettejohn, Matthew Beard, Scott Handy, David Cale and Jamie Bogyo. The drama is inspired by real events and centers on the titular founding leader of the Shaker Movement, who was proclaimed by her followers as the female Christ and went on to build one of the largest utopian societies in American history. Making its linear premiere tonight is the Showtime original series Dexter: Original Sin developed by Clyde Phillips and starring Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Molly Brown, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, James Martinez, Reno Wilson, as well as Michael C. Hall as the voice of the inner monologue in Dexter Morgan’s head. The show’s original music is composed by Pat Irwin (Nurse Jackie, The Good Cop, Feed the Beast, But I’m a Cheerleader, Bored to Death) who previously scored 2021’s Dexter: New Blood. The prequel the original Dexter series (scored by Daniel Licht) is set in 1991 Miami and follows the title character as he transitions from student to avenging serial killer. Sun Pictures has released a score album for the Indian neo-noir action thriller Raayan. The album features the film’s original “background” score composed by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Lagaan, Couples Retreat, The Hundred-Foot Journey, Blinded by the Light, Viceroy’s House). The 5-track EP features the holiday songs from the film written by Daniel Hart (The Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon, Interview with the Vampire, A Ghost Story, The Old Man and the Gun), including the original tracks It’s Christmas Today & The Spirit of Christmas (both previously released as a digital single), as well as Ar Fa La La Lo, In the Bleak Midwinter & The Holly and the Ivy arranged by Hart and performed by John C.
