Composer Daniel Hart is reuniting with director David Lowery on the upcoming fantasy adventure The Green Knight. The film is written and directed by Lowery and stars Dev Patel, Alicia Vikander, Joel Edgerton, Sarita Choudhury, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Barry Keoghan and Ralph Ineson. The movie is based on the timeless Arthurian legend and tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. The director is also producing the project with Toby Halbrooks & James M. Johnston (Listen Up Philip, Never Goin’ Back) for their Sailor Bear production company, alongside Tim Headington (Hugo, The Tourist) and Theresa Steele Page (Miss Juneteenth) for Ley Line Entertainment.

Ryuichi Sakamoto Scoring Andrew Levitas’ ‘Minamata’
Ryūichi Sakamoto (The Revenant, The Last Emperor, The Sheltering Sky, Snake Eyes) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Minamata. The film is directed by Andrew Levitas (Lullaby) and stars Johnny Depp, Hiroyuki Sanada, Minami, Bill Nighy, Jun Kunimura, Ryo Kase, Tadanobu Asano, Akiko Iwase and Katherine Jenkins. The movie centers on celebrated war photographer W. Eugene Smith has become a recluse as he travels back to Japan to investigate the poisoning of the inhabitants of a fishing village called Minamata. Levitas also co-wrote the screenplay with David K. Kessler, Stephen Deuters and Jason Forman.
Stefan Wesolowski to Score Nathalie Biancheri’s ‘Wolf’
Polish composer and violinist Stefan Wesolowski has announced this week that he will be scoring the upcoming drama Wolf. The film is written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri (Nocturnal) and stars George MacKay and Lily-Rose Depp. The movie is set in a world in which people believe they are an animal trapped in a human body and follows a man who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body. Jessie Fisk (Song of Granite) is producing the project for Feline Films.
Stephen James Taylor Scoring Richard Tanne’s ‘Chemical Hearts’
Composer Stephen James Taylor is reteaming with director Richard Tanne on the upcoming coming-of-age drama Chemical Hearts. The film is written and directed by Tanne and stars Lili Reinhart and Austin Abrams. The movie is based on Krystal Sutherland’s novel Our Chemical Hearts and follows a 17-year-old high school student who has never been in love and focuses of his attention on finally becoming the editor of his high school newspaper until he he meets a transfer student on the first day of his senior year. Tanne is also producing the project with Alex Saks (The Florida Project, Wildlife, Book Club).
Dominic Lewis Scoring Will Gluck’s ‘Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway’
Composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Free Birds, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween) is reuniting with director Will Gluck on the upcoming family comedy Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. The film stars Rose Byrne & Domhnall Gleeson, as well as voice talent James Corden, Elizabeth Debicki & Margot Robbie who are all reprising their roles from the original film. They are joined by new cast member David Oyelowo. Gluck (Easy A, Annie) also co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick Burleigh and is also producing the project with Zareh Nalbandian.

The film is directed by RZA (The Man with the Iron Fists) and stars Shameik Moore, Tip “T.I.” Harris, Rob Morgan, Demetrius Shipp Jr., Terrence Howard, Wesley Snipes, Eiza González, Kat Graham, Denzel Whitaker, Isaiah Washington and Ethan Hawke. The movie tells the story of four boyhood friends in New Orleans who return after Hurricane Katrina to find their homes decimated, when they reluctantly turn to a local gangster, who offers them one shot at turning their situations around.
