Allyson Newman (The L Word: Generation Q, Partner Track, Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge, Kusama: Infinity, Making Waves: The Art of Cinematic Sound) has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Arrest the Midwife. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Arrest the Midwife is directed by Elaine Epstein and centers on the Amish and Mennonite women of upstate New York who break from their traditions as an insular community to become unexpected activists, fighting for systemic change.
‘Starship Invasions’ Soundtrack Release Announced
Dragon’s Domain Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1977 Canadian sci-fi movie Starship Invasions written and directed by Ed Hunt and starring Robert Vaughn, Christopher Lee, Daniel Pilon, Tiiu Leek and Helen Shaver. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Gil Mellé (The Andromeda Strain, The Sentinel, Night Gallery, Borderline, The Organization). The soundtrack is now available to order as a limited edition CD on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples and find out more information about the release. A digital version is expected to be available on all major digital music services in the coming months.
Remastered ‘One Deadly Summer’ & ‘The White Queen’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Music Box Records has announced a new soundtrack album featuring two newly remastered scores composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Georges Delerue (Platoon, Steel Magnolias, A Little Romance, Twins, The Day of the Dolphin, Beaches, Joe Versus the Volcano). The album includes the composer’s music from the 1983 French drama One Deadly Summer (L’été meurtrier) directed by Jean Becker, based on Sébastien Japrisot’s novel and starring Isabelle Adjani, Alain Souchon, Suzanne Flon & Maria Machado, as well as his score for 1991’s The White Queen (La reine blanche) written and directed by Jean-Loup Hubert and starring Catherine Deneuve, Jean Carmet, Bernard Giraudeau & Richard Bohringer. The CD, which is being released as part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Delerue’s birth and is limited to 750 copies, is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.
‘Bon Voyage, Marie’ Soundtrack Released
