David Buckley (The Sandman, Nobody, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Stranger) has joined the crew of the Showtime original series Your Honor. He is composing the original music for the second season of the show developed by Peter Moffat based on the Israeli series Kvodo and starring Bryan Cranston, Hunter Doohan, Hope Davis, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Michael Stuhlbarg, Sofia Black D’Elia, Benjamin Flores Jr. and Carmen Ejogo. Cranston is also executive producing the CBS Studios production with Robert & Michelle King, Liz Glotzer (Castle Rock, Damsels in Distress), as well as Moonshot Entertainment’s James Degus (Sneaky Pete) and new showrunner Joey Hartstone (LBJ, Shock and Awe). Buckley has previously scored the King-produced CBS/Paramount+ series The Good Wife, The Good Fight, BrainDead and Evil. Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) has composed the score for the first season of Your Honor. Season 2 will premiere on January 13, 2023 on Showtime.
Buckley’s other recent/upcoming projects include Ric Roman Waugh’s feature Kandahar and the fourth season of Paramount+’s Evil. He is also expected to return to score the second seasons of Netflix’s The Sandman and The Lincoln Lawyer.
