Sony Masterworks has announced the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical. The album features the Grammy Award-nominated songs from the original West End production written by Tim Minchin (Groundhog Day The Musical, Back to the Outback) and performed throughout the movie, as well as the film’s original score by composed by Christopher Nightingale (Pride). Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is directed by Matthew Warchus and stars Alisha Weir, Emma Thompson, Lashana Lynch, Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough and Sindhu Vee. The musical is premiering today at the BFI London Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on December 9 before premiering in most markets on December 25 on Netflix.
