Music Box Records has announced a soundtrack album for the French comedy drama Driving Madeleine (Une belle course). The album features the film’s original music composed, orchestrated and conducted by Philippe Rombi (Swimming Pool, Joyeux Noel, In the House, Angel, Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion). Also included are two songs by Dinah Washington and Etta James. The soundtrack will be released this coming Friday, September 16. A digital version (without the songs) will be coming out on the same day and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. Driving Madeleine is co-written and directed by Christian Carion and stars Line Renaud, Dany Boon and Alice Isaaz. The movie follows a taxi driver whose personal life is in shambles who meets an elderly woman who is moving into a care home and would like to make some stops on her ride. The dramedy will be released in French theaters on September 21 and has just been picked up by Cohen Media Group for domestic distribution.
