Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the romantic comedy About Fate directed by Marius Vaysberg and starring Emma Roberts, Thomas Mann, Britt Robertson, Wendie Malick, Madelaine Petsch, Cheryl Hines and Lewis Tan. Benjamin Zecker (This Is the Year, Home Economics, Sheep and Wolves: Pig Deal) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows two hopeless romantics who find themselves together on New Year’s Eve, is being released by American International Pictures.
Also opening in select U.S. theaters and on VOD today is the British psychological drama True Things co-written and directed by Harry Wootliff and starring Ruth Wilson, Tom Burke and Hayley Squires. The film’s original is music composed by Alex Baranowski (The Windmere Children, A Christmas Carol, Burial, A Perfect Enemy, Staged). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the movie opened in the UK.
