Rael Jones (Harlots, Suite Francaise, My Cousin Rachel, The Salisbury Poisonings, Kids in Love) is scoring the upcoming British adaptation of the French hit series Call My Agent. John Morton (Twenty Twelve) has written and directed the first two episodes of the show, which stars Jack Davenport, Chelsey Crisp, Lydia Leonard, Jim Broadbent, Maggie Steed, Prasanna Puwanarajah, Hiftu Quasem, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Harry Trevaldwyn, Rebecca Humphries, Tim McInnerny, Natasha Little, Edward Bluemel and Eleonore Arnaud. The comedy, which is set at a London talent agency where agents scramble to keep their business afloat after the sudden death of their founder, will also feature guest appearances by Kelly Macdonald, Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams, Dominic West, Phoebe Dynevor, Jessica Oyelowo, David Oyelowo, among others. David Davoli & Steven Thibault (The Defeated), Samantha Thomas (Kin) and Aaron L. Gilbert (Tully, Bombshell) are producing the project for BRON Studios, alongside Christian Baute (The Man in the High Castle, Funny Games), Frank Calderon & Laurence Lenica for Headline Pictures, as well as David Tanner from Turbine Studios. Call My Agent! will premiere in the UK later this year on Amazon Prime and will make its U.S. debut on AMC Network’s streaming service Sundance Now.
Also coming up for Jones is Anthony Fabian’s feature Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, which will be released in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022 by Focus Features.
