Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover, The Muppets, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has been tapped to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series Hawkeye. The show is helmed by Rhys Thomas (Staten Island Summer) & directing duo Bert and Bertie (Troop Zero) and stars Jeremy Renner in the title role, alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and Alaqua Cox. The series is set in post-blip New York City and follows former Avenger Clint Barton who is forced together with Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero, when a presence from Barton’s past appears. Thomas is also executive producing the project with head writer Jonathan Igla, Kevin Feige (Avengers: Endgame, Black Panther and Trinh Tran. Beck has previously scored Marvel’s first two Ant-Man features, as well as this year’s limited series WandaVision, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. Hawkeye is set to premiere on November 24, 2021 on Disney+.
Beck’s other recent scoring projects include Shawn Levy’s Free Guy, which is currently playing in theaters.
What about if Christophe Beck can return to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Frozen 3?
What do you mean, “What about if Christophe Beck can return to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Frozen 3?”? I’m pretty sure he is scoring Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, it just hasn’t been officially announced to my knowledge and I don’t think a Frozen 3 has been announced either. If Frozen 3 does get made, I’m pretty sure he will write the score.
Yes. Beck has a very good relationship with Marvel and Disney, so he is sure to come back for these upcoming projects (and probably add new ones like She-Hulk or Moon Knight or the next Deadpool movie).
Is there a law that says you have to refer to the directors by their marketing brand name and not by their actual names, don’t you still technically think of yourselves as “journalists”?
That’s what they want to be referred as, otherwise their actual names would have been used.
