Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Kubo and the Two Strings, Anna Karenina, Bumblebee, Darkest Hour, V for Vendetta) is attached to score the upcoming romantic drama Late In Summer. The film marks the directorial debut of novelist Talitha Stevenson and will star Emily Watson and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. The movie is set in rural Cornwall will chart a brief encounter between a lonely farmer’s wife and a Black American GI that leads to first love in middle life and an impossible choice. Stevenson also wrote the screenplay and Debbie Gray (Mrs. Lowry and Son, The More You Ignore Me) is producing the project. Actor Timothy Spall serves as an executive producer. Late In Summer is set to shoot this fall and is expected to premiere in 2022. (Deadline)
