WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album for the HBO limited series Mare of Easttown. The album features the show’s original score composed by Lele Marchitelli (The Great Beauty, The Young Pope, The New Pope, Loro). Also included are three songs performed by actress Angourie Rice. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Mare of Easttown is created by Brad Ingelsby and stars Kate Winslet, Evan Peters, Julianne Nicholson, Jean Smart, Rice, Guy Pearce, David Denman, Joe Tippett, John Douglas Thompson, Cailee Spaeny, Patrick Murney, James McArdle, Sosie Bacon and Neal Huff. The 7-part drama directed by Craig Zobel follows a small-town Pennsylvania detective who investigates a local murder as life crumbles around her. Wow, I’m so glad I didn’t look at the tracklisting for this soundtrack before I watched the last episode, which I finally did last night. I hate when soundtracks have spoiler track titles, they really shouldn’t. For instance, they should have just titled the last track The Lawn Boy, as it would not give anything away, but they decided to title it a spoiler. Cheers WaterTower Music, the composer or whom ever decided to title the tracks with spoilers.
