Jocelyn Pook (Eyes Wide Shut, The Wife, The Merchant of Venice, Brick Lane) has composed the original music for the upcoming documentary The Kingmaker. The film is directed by Lauren Greenfield (The Queen of Versailles, Generation Wealth) and centers on Filipino politician and former First Lady Imelda Marcos, who, despite disgrace, remains unbowed and enmeshed in her nation’s politics. Marcos became First Lady of the Philippines in 1965 and still lives as if she possesses the role. Greenfield is also producing the Evergreen Pictures production with Frank Evers. The Kingmaker will premiere later this week at the Venice Film Festival and will make its North American premiere next month at the Toronto Film Festival.
