David Schwartz (Arrested Development, The Good Place, Northern Exposure) is the new composer of the HBO original series Veep. He is scoring the seventh and final season of the political comedy created by Armando Iannucci and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Timothy Simons and Sam Richardson. David Mandel (Curb Your Enthusiasm, EuroTrip) serves as the showrunner of the new season and is executive producing the project with Frank Rich (Succession), Louis-Dreyfus, Lew Morton and Morgan Sackett (Parks and Recreation). Rupert Gregson-Williams & Christopher Willis (who is currently composing the music for the Iannucci-directed The Personal History of David Copperfield) have previously scored the first six seasons of the show. Schwartz also continues to score NBC’s The Good Place, which recently finished its third season run and has been renewed for a fourth season. The composer has also recently composed the music for Standing Up, Falling Down (originally entitled We Are Unsatisfied) starring Billy Crystal and Ben Schwartz. The comedy will premiere next month at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival.
