A soundtrack album will be released for the drama The Vessel. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hanan Townshend (To the Wonder, Knight of Cups, The Better Angels). Also included is the song Despertia performed by Gabriel Ruiz Galindo & Gabriel Luna De La Fuente (feat. Mayte Martín). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 9, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Vessel is written and directed by Julio Quintana and stars Martin Sheen as a Catholic priest in a small Latin American town where a tidal wave destroys a local school packed with children. The movie executive produced by Terrence Malick (The Thin Red Line, The Tree of Life) takes place ten years after the event and follows a young man who builds a mysterious structure out of the school’s remains, setting the town aflame with passions long forgotten. The drama will be released in select theaters on September 16. Visit the official movie website for more information.
