Dominic Lewis has been hired to score the upcoming NBC drama The Player. The show is created by John Rogers (Leverage, The Librarians) & John Fox (The Blacklist) and stars Wesley Snipes, Charity Wakefield, Philip Winchester and Damon Gupton. The series follows a pit boss and the dealer for a high-stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on the ability of a former military operative turned security expert to stop some of the biggest crimes imaginable from playing out. Rogers and Fox are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television production with John Zinman & Patrick Massett (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) and John Davis (I, Robot, The Firm). Bharat Nalluri (Miss Petigrew Lives for a Day) who previously collaborated with Lewis on Spooks: The Greater Good has directed the pilot episode. Lewis is also scoring ABC Family’s Kevin from Work, which will premiere this Wednesday night. The composer of such features as Free Birds and The DUFF will also co-score Amazon’s upcoming series The Man in the High Castle with Henry Jackman.
