Walt Disney Records has released the official score album for the live-action adaptation of the animated movie Moana. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mancina (Twister, Speed, Tarzan, Bad Boys, Brother Bear, August Rush, Planes, Con Air, The Sea Beast) who previously scored the 2016 animated feature, as well as 2024’s sequel. The label has previously released the original soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi & Mancina last month, as well as a separate deluxe edition featuring the songs and score this past Wednesday. Moana is directed by Thomas Kail and stars Catherine Lagaʻai, Dwayne Johnson, John Tui, Rena Owen and Frankie Adams. The film is opening in theaters nationwide today.
