Wendy Melvoin & Lisa Coleman (Heroes, Dangerous Minds, Crossing Jordan, Nurse Jackie, Firefly Lane, True Story) are scoring the new Prime Video original adult animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. The show is created by Cirocco Dunlap and features the voices of Stephanie Hsu, Keke Palmer, Maya Rudolph, Natasha Lyonne, Kieran Culkin and Sam Smith. The animated comedy follows two best friends, aliens and intergalactically renowned surgeons as they tackle anxiety-eating parasites, illegal time loops, and deep-space STIs. Dunlap also serves as the showrunner and is executive producing the project with Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens (Loot, The House of Tomorrow) and Natasha Lyonne (Russian Doll, Poker Face) for Animal Pictures, as well as Shauna McGarry (Tuca & Bertie), Shannon Prynoski (Agent Elvis, Scavengers Reign), Chris Prynoski (The Legend of Vox Machina, Motorcity), Antonio Canobbio (Big Mouth, Fairfax) & Ben Kalina for Titmouse. The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy will premiere this Friday, February 23 on Prime Video.
