Ryan Taubert (Code 8, American Exit, The Stolen Valley, Freedom’s Path) has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming sci-fi adventure XENO. The film is written and directed by Matthew Loren Oates and stars Lulu Wilson, Omari Hardwick, Paul Schneider, Wrenn Schmidt, Trae Romano and Josh Cooke. The movie follows a teenage girl and a terrifying alien who form a powerful bond after a chance encounter in the desert, sending them on an adventure that questions the nature of good and evil. Oates is also producing the project with Hartbeat’s Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley (Me Time, Lift) & Luke Kelly-Clyne (Die Hart, Cursed Friends), as well as Tabooma’s Shana Marie & Jesse Jensen. Jon Ekstrand was originally scoring the film and recorded his music in early 2024. XENO will be released in theaters nationwide on September 19, 2025 by Blue Fox Entertainment.
