Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1984 New Zealand drama Heart of the Stag co-written and directed by Michael Firth and starring Bruno Lawrence, Terence Cooper, Anne Flannery, Mary Regan, Michael Wilson and Susanne Cowie. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Leonard Rosenman (RoboCop 2, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Beneath The Planet of the Apes, Fantastic Voyage, Rebel Without a Cause, Lord of the Rings, East of Eden) and performed by the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. The limited edition CD is now available to purchase on the label’s official website, where you can also find out more about the release and listen to audio samples. A digital version is expected to be released in the coming months.
