La Cupula Music has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish drama The Good Luck (La buena suerte). The album features the film’s original music composed by Vanessa Garde (What Lucia SawVenusA Normal World, ParotWho Would You Take to a Deserted Island?, Just One Small Favor, If I Were a Rich Man). The Good Luck is co-written and directed by Gracia Querejeta and stars Hugo Silva, Megan Montaner, Eva Ugarte, Miguel Rellán, Ismael Martínez and Álvaro Rico. The movie based on Rosa Montero’s of the same title follows a man in his 50s tormented by the past and his complicated relationship with his son who suddenly gets off a train in a rundown town and decides to settle there, when he meets a Romanian woman whose innate optimism revitalizes his desire to live. The drama premiered at this year’s Malaga Film Festival and just opened in Spanish theaters last weekend. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
