The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Conclave, Hotel Mumbai, The Old Guard, Adrift). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the first episodes this past Friday. Premiering tomorrow, November 18, is the PBS documentary Leonardo da Vinci directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns & David McMahon, narrated by Keith David about the life and work of the 15th century polymath (voiced by Adriano Giannini) and his achievements. The 2-part film’s original music is composed by Caroline Shaw (Fleishman Is in Trouble, Madeline Madeline, The Sky Is Everywhere) and performed by Attacca Quartet, Sō Percussion and Roomful of Teeth. Nonesuch Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last month. Premiering on Tuesday, November 19, is the Hulu limited series Interior Chinatown created by Charles Yu and starring Jimmy O. Yang, Ronny Chieng, Chloe Bennet, Archie Kao, Sullivan Jones, Lisa Gilroy and Diana Lin. Mark Mothersbaugh (The LEGO Movie, Thor: Ragnarok, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, 21/22 Jump Street) and Nick Lee (The Brothers Sun, Grand Crew) have composed the show’s original music. Premiering on Wednesday, November 20, is Netflix original documentary series Our Oceans narrated by President Barack Obama, produced by Jonathan Smith and executive produced by Barack & Michelle Obama and James Honeyborne. The show’s original score is composed by Ho-Ling Tang. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as a track by Harry Gregson-Williams (who serves as the project’s score producer) this past Friday. Also premiering on Wednesday is the Netflix original film The Merry Gentlemen co-written and directed by Peter Sullivan and starring Britt Robertson, Chad Michael Murray, Marla Sokoloff, Beth Broderick, Michael Gross, Maria Canals-Barrera and Maxwell Caulfield. Brooke deRosa (Massacre on Aisle 12, The Search for Simon) has composed the movie’s original music. The romantic comedy, which follows a Broadway dancer who stages an all-male, Christmas-themed revue to save her parents’ small-town nightclub and meets a guy with all the right moves, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Wednesday is the HBO original documentary Surveilled produced by Ronan Farrow, and produced and directed by Matthew O’Neill and Perri Peltz about growing business of commercial spyware. The film’s original music is composed by Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Leave the World Behind, Feud: Betty and Joan, Scream Queens, American Crime Story, The Politician, Ratched). The 8-part thriller, which revolves around two childhood friends who decide to try one last heist – to rob millions from Sweden’s safest cash depot, will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Also premiering on Friday is the Columbian crime thriller Pimpinero: Blood and Oil (Pimpinero: Sangre y Gasolina) co-written and directed by Andrés Baiz and starring Laura Osma, Alejandro Speitzer, Alberto Guerra and Juanes.
