iMusician & Noi Music Publishing have released a soundtrack album for the Swiss drama The Sparrow in the Chimney (Der Spatz im Kamin). The album features the film’s original music composed by Balz Bachmann (Yalom’s Cure, When We Were Sisters, Hidden Reserves). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s Sparrows Theme below. The Sparrow in the Chimney is written and directed by Ramon Zürcher and stars Maren Eggert, Britta Hammelstein, Luise Heyer, Lea Zoe Voss, Andreas Döhler, Milian Zerzawyand Ilja Bultmann. The movie revolves around two sisters whose reunion at a family gathering reignites old conflicts and deep-seated emotional turmoil.The drama, which premiered at this year’s Locarno Film Festival, just opened in Swiss theaters last week and has recently been picked up by Film Movement for a domestic distribution. No release date has been announced yet.
