The Newton Brothers (X-Men ’97, Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House, Five Nights at Freddy’sThe Forever Purge, The Fall of the House of Usher, The Walking Dead: World Beyond) have provided the original score for the upcoming horror thriller Shelby Oaks. The film marks the directorial debut of filmmaker, digital creator and author Chris Stuckmann and stars Camille Sullivan, Michael Beach, Keith David, Sarah Durn, Brendan Sexton III, Emily Bennett and Rob Grant. The movie centers on a young woman’s frantic search for her sister who ominously disappeared in the last tape of her YouTube investigative series Paranormal Paranoids. Stuckmann also wrote the screenplay. Aaron Koontz (The Pale Door, Camera Obscura) and Cameron Burns & Ashleigh Snead (Old Man, The Requin) are producing the project. Mike Flanagan (who regularly works with the composers) serves as an executive producer. Shelby Oaks will premiere later this month at the 2024 Fantasia Festival.

The composers’ other recent feature projects include Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which will premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.
