Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Noah, The Fountain, Moon, Rebecca, Stoker) has composed the original score for the upcoming drama Sharper. The film is directed by Benjamin Caron (The Crown) and stars Julianne Moore, Sebastian Stan, Justice Smith, Briana Middleton and John Lithgow. The movie is set in the world of Manhattan’s billionaire echelon and follows a con artist who works her way through the system. Brian Gatewood & Alessandro Tanaka (Comrade Detective, The Sitter) wrote the screenplay. Moore, Gatewood & Tanaka are also producing the A24 production with Picturestart’s Jessica Switch (Cha Cha Real Smooth) and Erik Feig (Step Up, Wrong Turn), as well as Bart Freundlich (After the Wedding, The Rebound). Sharper is set to be released in select theaters on February 10, 2023 before premiering the following Friday, February 17 on Apple TV+.
Mansell also continues to co-score HBO Max’s Titans, which just returned for its fourth season earlier this month and Doom Patrol, which will return for its fourth season on December 8. He is also expected to return as co-composer for the second season of the streamer’s Peacemaker.
