Varese Sarabande will release a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1997 noir thriller L.A. Confidential co-written and directed by Curtis Hanson and starring Kevin Spacey, Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kim Basinger, James Cromwell, David Strathairn and Danny DeVito. The album features the expanded Academy Award-nominated original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Planet of the Apes, Poltergeist, Basic Instinct, The Mummy, Total Recall), including previously unreleased music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 18 (click here to stream/download). A limited edition CD version is expected to be available to order on the label’s official website tomorrow morning. Varese has previously released the original 1997 score album, while Restless Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. L.A. Confidential is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.
