Composer Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, The Wheel of Time, The Lego Batman Movie) is set to reteam with director Mikael Håfström (1408, Derailed) on the upcoming psychological sci-fi thriller Slingshot. The film starring Casey Affleck, Laurence Fishburne, Emily Beecham, Tomer Capone and David Morrissey centers on an astronaut struggling to maintain his grip on reality aboard a possibly fatally compromised mission to Saturn’s moon, Titan. R. Scott Adams (Donner Pass) and Nathan Parker (Moon, Our House) wrote the screenplay. Richard Saperstein (Cell, Silent Night) is producing the project for Bluestone Entertainment. Balfe has previously scored last feature, Outside the Wire, which premiered earlier this year on Netflix. Slingshot will start production next month in Budapest, Hungary. (Variety)
