Dan Romer (Luca, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Atypical, Wendy) is scoring the upcoming HBO Max limited series Station Eleven. The show is created by Patrick Somerville based on the bestseller of the same name by Emily St. John Mand and stars Mackenzie Davis, Himesh Patel, Daniel Zovatto, Matilda Lawler, David Wilmot, Philippine Velge, Nabhaan Rizwan and Lori Petty. Gael Garcìa Bernal and Danielle Deadwyler appear in recurring roles. The post-apocalyptic drama tells the stories of survivors of a devastating flu as they attempt to rebuild and reimagine the world anew while holding on to the best of what’s been lost. Somerville (Made for Love) is also executive producing the Paramount Television production with Scott Steindorff (The Lincoln Lawyer, Jane Got a Gun), Scott Delman, Dylan Russell, Jessica Rhoades (Sharp Objects, Dirty John), Jeremy Podeswa, Nate Matteson, as well as Hiro Murai (Atlanta, Guava Island) who also directed multiple episodes. Romer has previously scored the Somerville-created Netflix limited series Maniac. Station Eleven will premiere on December 16, 2021 on HBO Max.

Romer’s other recent projects include the Pixar short Ciao Alberto, which will premiere this coming Friday, the second season of HBO Max’s Love Life (co-scored with Mike Tuccillo), which just premiered last month and the fifth season of ABC’s The Good Doctor, which currently airs Monday nights. He also has the second season of The CW’s Superman & Lois (to premiere on January 11, 2022) coming up.

So per this site Dan Romer composed the background music for the HBO series Station Eleven.
I know this is a long shot but I just got done watching Season 1 Episode 9 (Dr Chaudhary) of Station Eleven. I’m trying to find out what song is played starting at the 52:02 mark to 53:12 mark. Can you help identify this song & who composes it? It’s really a great song & very emotional and deep.
