Nathan Johnson (Knives Out, Brick, Looper, The Brothers Bloom, Kill the Messenger, Young Ones) is scoring the new Apple TV+ original series Mr. Corman. The show is written and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and stars himself, alongside Arturo Castro, Debra Winger, Bobby Hall a.k.a. Logic, Hector Hernandez, Juno Temple, Jamie Chung and Shannon Woodward. The comedy revolves around a man whose lifelong dream of a career in music didn’t pan out and finds himself teaching fifth grade at a school in the San Fernando Valley. Gordon-Levitt is also executive producing the A24 production with Bruce Eric Kaplan (Six Feet Under, Girl), Ravi Nandan (Euphoria, Ramy) and Inman Young (Moonbase 8). Johnson has previously scored Gordon-Levitt’s feature directorial debut, Don Jon. Mr. Corman will premiere on August 6, 2021 exclusively on Apple TV+.
